The final quarter of 2023 saw notable trends in the performance of the top 5 navigation and maps applications in Mexico. Here’s a closer look at the data from Sensor Tower.

Google Maps maintained a strong presence with a peak in downloads of approximately 126K during the week of December 4. Active users varied slightly, starting at around 4.3M and peaking at 4.4M in mid-December, before settling at about 4.1M by the end of the quarter.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic saw consistent growth in downloads, starting at 57K in late September and rising to nearly 77K by mid-December. Weekly active users also showed a positive trend, reaching a peak of approximately 1.1M in early December before experiencing a dip to around 915K by the end of the quarter.

Google Earth experienced fluctuations in downloads, with a high of around 27K in late November and a low of approximately 16K in the final week of December. Active users followed a similar trend, peaking at about 231K in late November and then tapering off to around 189K by the end of December.

GPS Earth Maps Live Navigation showed steady download numbers throughout the quarter, with a peak of around 20K in late October and consistent figures around 16K to 18K in December. Active users grew from approximately 41K in late September to about 62K by mid-December, indicating a steady increase in user engagement.

Lastly, Live Earth Map: Street View 3D had a significant spike in downloads in early October, reaching over 11K, before stabilizing to around 4K to 5K towards the end of the quarter. Active users showed a similar pattern, peaking at around 17K in early October and then decreasing to approximately 7K by late December.
